Our Stay in a Coffee Shop AirBnB // Valdosta Travel Guide + Vlog

While Valdosta, GA might not be the first place that comes to mind for a vacation, we had the best time at the Book and Table Inn AirBnB in Historic Downtown Valdosta!

Since we live in Brunswick, at just over 2 hours, Valdosta is a short drive and makes for a great overnight trip! My family lives in Valdosta so we usually stay with them when we visit but this time I decided to look into an Airbnb for us since we were celebrating Patrick’s birthday and our anniversary. When I found the Book and Table Inn located in downtown, I immediately knew that’s where I wanted to stay. Jamie and Sarah actually own multiple Airbnb’s and they are all super cute and trendy! I also LOVE their story and completely stand behind their mission + vision:

“In October 2019, we bought the Book & Table Inn from the Orenduffs, who originally had a bookstore, café, and airbnb rooms in the building on 120 North Patterson Street. We decided to keep the name of Book & Table Inn and we’re honored to continue the airbnb business.

Our big dream is to one day open up a 24-hour prayer room for all to be able to come worship and get before the Lord anytime of the day or night. We believe God allowed us to purchase the building, operate the airbnb, and become business partners with the owners of G?D Craft Coffee in order to provide a means to obtain that dream of a prayer house like the one modeled in International House of Prayer of Kansas City.”

Now, let’s get to the details of our one-night stay! You can watch the vlog here:

Nestled in the back of Valdosta’s hottest new coffee shop, Gud Coffee, The Book and Table Inn provided a cozy night stay with excellent accessibility to all that Downtown has to offer!

The Inn had two entrances, one through the front of the coffee shop and the other at the back which led us through a private patio filled with greenery, string lights and the seating. Between the contact-less entry via pin-pad passcode and the smell of fresh linens, we felt extremely confident in the cleanliness of the Airbnb—even amid a global pandemic.

Jamie + Sarah did an amazing job of decorating and utilizing their small space. Although the space was small, comfort and seating was not limited. On the main level there was comfortable chair seating and a TV coupled with the outdoor patio seating. Not to mention the coffee shop seating just outside of the room. And just a few steps above the main level was the loft with a plush queen size bed!

We throughly enjoyed the little touches provided by Jamie and Sarah like the small refrigerator outside of the room stocked with complimentary water bottles and a coffee and tea station! But our favorite part about the stay was the shower. The door-less and curtain-free waterfall shower was pure magic. Honestly I’d go back just for the shower!
